Moonstone belongs to the feldspar mineral family. It is an opalescent stone that comes in colourless, peach, violet, green, grey, yellow, brown, and blue varieties. The most valuable moonstone comes from Sri Lanka and India. Blue moonstones are highly regarded due to their scarcity.
