Tanzanite is a violet-blue gemstone from the Zoisite mineral family that can only be found in Tanzania. Tanzanite experiences a peculiar condition known as Pleochroism, in which it changes hue (blue, violet, and purple) when seen from various angles. This gemstone is very common in the jewellery industry and is often worn as the December birthstone.
